New Christmas Designs

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving Day enjoying family and friends and sharing good times and good eats! I did the same and spent time as well, creating new Christmas ornaments. My creative ideas are way ahead of the time I have before Christmas to get the products to you. There is always next year! Let me tell you about one decoration that I love making! Do you remember back in the sixties that everyone had Capizi shell curtains hanging in their doorways? A friend of mine, gave me a lot of small Capizi shells that I decorated by making candles out of small white shells, completing the flame with a yellow shell and setting the “look” in holly leaves and berries on each shell. It is my favorite decoration thus far and looks so pretty hanging in front of the Christmas lights on the tree. Next week, I will tell you about my Christmas trees decorated with shell flowers.
Until then, start enjoying the Christmas holiday season. It is a beautiful and happy time of year.

Christmas Shopping Ideas for Decorations and Unusual Gifts

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

I know! It is Thanksgiving next Thursday and I am trying to get you to think about what you might want for shells to decorate your house and/or tree. I use to hate to even see Christmas decorations in the stores before Halloween and Thanksgiving had come. Now, here I am, one of the obnoxious offenders. The special I want to tell you about this week are Mussel shell ornaments. Look at the picture of the ornaments on my Shop On Line page. SPECIAL PRICE: You can have three assorted ornaments shipped to you for eighteen dollars ($18.00) This price is through the month of January, 2010. If you want you can specify the shells be sent with red flowers made out of dyed red Gar scales, with yellow centers resembling Poinsettia flowers. All flowers are accented with green shells. There is also a limited number of small 10 inch artificial trees that I decorate with 30 shell flowers attached to miniature hooks. Please email me if you are interested in more detail about the flowers that are available for the trees. The cost is twenty-five dollars including shipping. It is called Instant Decorating! They look so pretty on a small table or chest.
All for now! Sharlene

Early New Year’s Resolution

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

It has been way too long since I had Vicki set up my web site and blog to get started updating you on “my happenings”. My goal is to let you know each week what I am working on at the moment. You will be able to order limited items through the blog as well. Next week, I will have ideas for Christmas. This week I want to let you know that I am excited to report that I submitted three items to the Philadelphia Shell Show and I was recognized for all three items that I submitted! I won a third place ribbon for my Seashell scene (see the photo on my product page). I love how it came out! This winter, I hope to do other picture themes. I won a third place ribbon for my 6″ contemporary Sailor’s Valentine. (Watch for it on my product page) and honorable mention ribbon for my “bird” similar to the one on the page that describes my design background. It will also be on my web page. I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to ask questions. Until next time–Sharlene
